Lou Thomas
Lou Thomas is a professional multimedia artist practicing from a private studio in Milton Keynes.
Her oil paintings aim to express the powerful dominance of mountains on the landscape, protective yet potentially menacing, and the changing moods of the sea.
The textured oil works are mixed media impasto pieces utilizing acrylic mediums mixed with traditional oil paint creating shadow and light definition through paint relief, enhancing the portrayal of mountain ruggedness, rock formations and wave movement.
Thomas’ paintings have been regularly exhibited both nationally and in Europe.
She is a regular
participant in Bucks Art Weeks and South Northants Art Trail exhibiting, teaching and undertaking demonstrations in her painting techniques.
